Vacancies

(1) If any member (other than an ex officio member) of the Council absents himself from three consecutive meetings of the Council without permission of the Chairman of the Council, the office held by him shall thereupon become vacant. (2) If any member of the Council becomes subject to any of the disqualifications under section 6, his office shall thereupon become vacant. (3) Any vacancy caused in pursuance of sub-section (1) or (2) shall be published by the Council in the Gazette.
