Transitory provisions

(1) A College having Intermediate Course which is affiliated to any University shall, for the purposes of this Act, be deemed to be a junior college. (2) The Registered College Teachers of the Utkal University, the Berhampore University and the Sambalpur University who have been registered as such for life, shall, for the purposes of sub-section (3) of section 3, be deemed to be Registered College Teachers. (3) The Syllabus Committees which are appointed by the Officer on special duty in charge of Higher Secondary Education and were holding office immediately prior to the commencement of this Act, shall be deemed to be the Syllabus Committee appointed by the Executive Committee under this Act and shall continue to hold office till the 31st day of May, 1983. (4) The syllabi, courses of studies and text books recommended by the said Syllabus Committee shall not be varied so as to affect any examination held at any time prior to the expiry of the year 1985.
