Amount to be paid for land contributed for public purposes

(1) An amount equal to five per cent of the market value of the land contributed for public purposes as determined in the prescribed manner shall be paid to the land-owner or owners concerned. (2) An amount equal to the market value of houses, structures, trees, wells and other improvements existing on the land contributed for public purposes as determined under this Act shall also be paid to the land-owner or owners concerned.
