Compensation for crops

(1) Where possession of standing crops is delivered along with the land under section 25, the Assistant Consolidation Officer shall determine in consultation with the Consolidation Committee, the compensation payable in respect of such crops by the land-owner put in possession. Explanation-"Compensation" for this purpose shall mean the anticipated value of the standing crop when marketable less reasonable expenses to be incurred for harvesting and marketing of the crop. (2) Any person aggrieved by an order under sub-section (1) may, within thirty days from the date of the order, prefer an appeal before the Consolidation Officer whose decision thereon shall be final.
