Students of the University may reside in a hostel maintained or recognized by the University under such conditions as may be prescribed in the regulations.

Discipline Discipline 9.

1. (1) The Vice Chancellor shall be responsible for the maintenance of discipline in the University and his orders in this regard shall be carried out by the officers and authorities of the University.
2. (2) Notwithstanding anything in sub-section (1), the punishment of debarring a student from an examination of the University or rusticating him from the University or hostel or an institution of the University or any other punishment of such serious nature, shall be imposed only by the Executive Council on receipt of a report from the Vice Chancellor:
