Statutory text

(1) The following shall be the members of the Finance Committee:
- (i) The Pro Chancellor as the ex officio Chairman;
- (ii) The Vice Chancellor as the ex officio Vice Chairman;
- (iii) The Director-in-charge of operations of the University in Nagaland as ex officio members;
- (iv) The Finance Officer of the university as an ex-officio member;
- (v) One nominee of the Government, in the Governing Council, to be named as a member by the Government of Nagaland;
- (vi) One nominee of the Trust in the Governing Council, to be name as a member by the Trust;
- (vii) One nominee of the Pro Chancellor in the Governing Council, to be named as a member by the Pro Chancellor; and
- (viii) The Registrar as the ex officio Secretary.
(2) The term of the Finance Committee shall run simultaneously with the Governing Council.
(3) An ex officio member when ceases to hold the office by virtue of which he became an ex officio member, shall cease to be a member of the Finance Committee.
(4) The nominating authorities shall have a right to replace their nominees to the Committee at any point of time.
(5) Casual vacancies arising in the Committee before its reconstitution shall be filled for the unexpired term.
