Registrar 21.

1. (1) There shall be a whole time Registrar for the University.
2. (2) The Registrar shall be appointed by the Vice Chancellor from out of three persons empaneled by the Executive Council which shall not indicate any order of preference and leave the selection solely to the independent judgement of the vice Chancellor.
3. (3) In case emergent circumstances where the appointment of a Registrar on the basis of a panel prepared by the Executive Council is not possible for any reason, the vice Chancellor, until an appointment is made in accordance with that procedure, may appoint a suitable person/officer of the University to function as Registrar for a period not exceeding one year.
4. (4) The Registrar shall not hold office beyond the age of 62 years.
