Acts excepted from sections 23 and 24.

Nothing in section 23 or section 24 shall be deemed to prohibit – (a) any practice of jhum cultivation permitted under section 9, or (b) the exercise, in accordance with the rules if any, made by the State Government under section 12 of any right continued under that section, or (c) the exercise of any right created by grant or contract in the manner described in section 20, or (d) any act done with the permission in writing of a Forest Officer specially empowered to grant such permission.
