Publication of the Development Scheme
The Manipur Town and Country Planning Act, 1975(1) The Authority, the Chief Town Planner or the local authority, as the case may be shall have the Scheme and the report if any, published in not less than one registered local newspaper available in the locality to be affected by the Scheme and have a copy of them served on all persons who preferred claims under sub-section (3) of section 29, inviting objections to be filed within a period of not more than two months. (2) After the expiry of the aforesaid period, the Authority, the Chief Town Planner or the local authority, as the case may be, shall examine the Scheme in the light of such objection and shall adopt the Scheme or refuse to adopt it or adopt it, with such modification as may be necessary after giving sufficient opportunity for hearing, to all such interested person. (3) After, the Authority, the Chief Town Planner or the local authority, as the case may be, has adopted the Scheme, it shall be forwarded to the State Government for its approval, and thereafter the Scheme shall come into force from the date on which it is approved by the State Government.
