Removal of non-official members, filling of casual vacancies
The Manipur Town and Country Planning Act, 1975(1) The State Government may remove from the Board any member who (a) refuses to act, or becomes incapable of acting or absents himself from three consecutive meeting of the Board and is unable to explain such absence to the satisfaction of the Board; or (b) has so flagrantly abused in any manner his position as a member of the Board as to render his continuance detrimental to the public interest: Provided that when the State Government proposes to take action under the foregoing provisions of this section, an opportunity shall be given to the member concerned to represent against the proposed action, and when such action is taken, the reasons thereof shall be placed on record. (2) A member removed under clauses (a) and (b) of sub-section (1) shall not be eligible for re-appointment or re-nomination, as the case may be.
