Penalty for breach of duty by inspector

If an inspector knowingly stamps a weight or measure or weighing or measuring instrument in contravention of the provisions of this Act or of the rules or is guilty of a breach of any duty imposed on him by this Act or by the rules he shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment of either description for a period which may extend to one year or with fine or with both.
