Preamble. Preamble An Act to fix a scale of standard weights and measures for the Presidency of Bombay.

WHEREAS it is expedient to fix a scale of standard weights and measures for the presidency of Bombay and to provide for the adoption of the same in specified areas in the said presidency [and for certain other matters hereinafter appearing] ; And whereas the previous sanction of the Governor General required by sub-section

1. (3) of section 80A of the Government of India Act and the previous sanction of the Governor required by section 80C of the said Act have been obtained for the passing of this Act ; It is hereby enacted as follows :-
