Proclamation by competent authority

As soon as may be, after the publication of the notification under section 7, the competent authority shall publish in the manner prescribed in the local languages in every town and villages in the neighbourhood of the land comprised in the area, a proclamation—

1. (a) specifying as nearly as possible the situation and limits of the proposed National Park or State Park ;
2. (b) explaining the consequences, which as hereinafter provided, will ensue on the constitution of the National Park or the State Park;
3. (c) fixing a date not earlier than three months from the date of such proclamation, and requiring every person claiming any right mentioned in section 7 to present to him on or before the date so fixed a written notice specifying, or to appear before him and state, the nature of such right and the amount and particulars of the compensation (if any) claimed in respect thereof.
