The other officers and servants shall be subordinate to the Director, and subordination of such persons amongst themselves shall be such as may be determined by the State Government.

Constitution of the Maharashtra National and State Parks Advisory Committee
- (1) As soon as possible after the coming into force of this Act, the State Government shall constitute an Advisory Committee to be called "the Maharashtra National and State Parks Advisory Committee" consisting of the Minister for Forests as ex-officio Chairman, the Minister of State (if any), and the Deputy Minister, (if any) for Forests as ex-offio Vice-Chairman, and the Secretary to Government in the Forests Department, the Director, the person for the time being appointed Superintendent, Parks and Gardens; and ten other members nominated in this behalf.
- (2) Any Park Officer designated in this behalf by the State Government shall be the Secretary of the Advisory Committee.
- (3) The members (other than ex-officio members) shall ordinarily hold office for a period of three years, or such shorter period as may be specified by the State Government : Provided that, the tenure of office of any member may be terminated by the State Government at any time, without assigning any reason therefor.
- (4) The non-official members shall be entitled to receive such allowances in respect of expenses properly incurred in the performance of their duties as may be prescribed : Provided that, if a member of the State Legislature is nominated as a member of the Advisory Committee, he shall not be entitled to receive any remuneration other than the travelling allowance, daily allowance or such other allowance which is paid to a member of the Advisory Committee for the purpose of meeting the personal expenditure incurred in attending the meeting of the Committee or in performing any other functions as such member.
