Amendment of section 29

Amendment of section 29.- In section 29 of the principal Act,-

1. (a) for the words "prescribed Authority", the words "the Rajya Dharmika Parishat or the Zilla Dharmika Parishat" shall be substituted; and
2. (b) the following proviso shall be inserted at the end, namely:- " Provided that for the reasons to be recorded in writing the Rajya Dharmika Parishat or Zilla Dharmika Parishat, by order extend the said period by any further period, not exceeding six months at a time. So however, the said period shall not exceed one year in total."
