Powers of State Government to inspect University

(1) for the purpose of ascertaining the standards of teaching, examination and research or any other matter relating the University State Government may after consultation with Vice-chancellor cause an assessment to be made in such a manner as may be prescribed by such person or persons as it may deem fit. (2) The State Government shall communicate to the University its recommendations in regard to the result of such assessment for corrective action. (3) If in the opinion of the State Government, the action taken or proposed to be taken under sub-section (2) by the University is not to its satisfaction, the same may further be communicated to the Vice-chancellor who shall carry out the recommendation within a reasonable time failing which the State Government may take any action as it deems fit.
