Any Hotels, Lodge, Guesthouse and Home stay owner who willfully or otherwise, fails to verify Inner Line Permit of Non-Arunachalee citizens before giving the rooms on rent will be punishable under section 188 of Indian Penal code.

Obstructing lawful authorities : If any person willfully obstructs or offers any resistance to, or otherwise interferes with the discharge of the functions of the prescribed authority or any other officer authorized by it, exercising any power, or performing any duties conferred or imposed upon it or him by or in pursuance of this Act or the rules made thereunder, he shall be liable to punishment with imprisonment which may extend to six months or with fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees or with both.
