- (1) Wo person who possesses a medicalqualification granted by any authorib in any place oulside [he rcrritory at (other than he qualification specifiedinthe Second Scheduleor h eThird Schedule lo he lndian Medical co Act, 1956),shall beregistered under this Act, unlessthe procedure specified insub-section (2) has been fol[owe
- (2) Any person, who holds any suchmedica1qualification may apply to [heCouncil for registration by giving a CO ( I ) Notwithsrandinganythingcontained in sections 15 and 16,no person whose namehas been removed whe before or aRer the appointed day, from any register kept under his Act or any other law for the lime b e h force in India regulating the registrarionaf medical practitioners on the ground of professianalrniscond shall be entirled to have his iame enrered inrhe register, unlesshis name is duly ordered to bc restoredto registerfrom which ilwas so removed.
