Associate Member

(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in section 19, a society may admit any individual seeking any services of the society or informal group such as SELF HELP GROUP, RYTHU MITRA GROUP, NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANISATION, working for the welfare of farmer community in the area of operation as associate member but such member shall not be entitled to vote. (2) The associate member shall not be entitled to any share in any form whatsoever in the profits or assets of the society. Such member shall not have privileges, rights and liabilities of a member except those specified in the bye-laws of the society: Provided that the members without holding any agricultural land in the Agricultural Credit Societies be treated as associate members.
