Power to spend Pathakanika

(1) The trustee of a math shall keep regular accounts of receipts of “pathakanika” that is to say, any gift of property or money made to him as the head of the math and shall be entitled to spend the said “pathakanika” in accordance with the customs and usages of the institution. (2) Such gifts of property or money as are not spent by the trustee during his tenure of office in accordance with the custom and usage of the institution shall form part of the funds of the math.
