(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in Statute 12 the Board of Management shall have power to invite a person possessing high academic distinction and professional attainments to be appointed to the post of a professor or reader or other equivalent post in the University on such terms and conditions as may be deemed proper and may appoint such person to such post. (2) The Board of Management may also appoint for a fixed tenure or otherwise a person working as a teacher or in the academic staff in any other University or organization, for teaching or undertaking a project or any other work on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Board.
