Examination by the Veterinary Surgeon

On receipt of a report under sub-section (2) of section 15 the Veterinary Surgeon shall examine the [livestock or bird] as soon as possible and may also examine the [livestock or birds] which it has been in close proximity to, and for this purpose may subject the [livestock or bird] to any test which the [Central Government] may by regulations prescribe in this behalf.
