Power of Veterinary Surgeon to hold post-mortem

Subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf by the [Central Government], the Veterinary Surgeon may make or cause to be made a post-mortem examination of any [livestock or bird] which at the time of its death was infective, or is suspected to have been infective and for this purpose he may cause the carcass of any such [livestock or bird] to be exhumed.
