Powers and responsibilities of Director General of Police.

(1) The following shall be the responsibilities of the Director General of Police, namely:- (a) To enforce the policies and other action plans, approved by the State Government; and (b) To administer, control and supervise the police service to ensure its efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness and accountability (2) The Director General of Police, with the approval of the State Government, may outsource any of the functions of the police in order to improve efficiency in the functions of the police subject to rules framed under this Act.
