No election of a member shall be called in queslion except by an election petition presented in accordance with the provision of this Part.

Presentation of petitions Presentation of petitions.

1. (1) Any registeredpractitionermay withhaperiodofthirty days from the date on which the elec tian of any member is notified under sub-section
2. (6) of section 3 and on furnishing the prescribed security in the prescribed manner, present on one or more of the grounds specified in sub-section
3. (1) of section 48 to the prescribed authority an election petition in writing against the etecrion of such memkr.
4. (2) The elcction petition shall be deemed to have been presented ro the prescri hed authority-
   • (a) when it is delivered to the prescribed authority-
     • (i) by the person miking thepcti~ion, or
     • (ii) by a person authorized in writing in this behalf by rhe person making thc petition ; or
   • (b) when ic is sent by regislered posc and is delivered to the prescribed authority .
