1. (1) In the application of the Act to the Union territory Chandigarh or the transferred territories, any reference therein to the State Government shall be construed as a reference to the Administrator of the Union territory of Chandigarh or the Administrator of the Union Territory Himachal Pradesh as the case may be.
2. (2) Section 55 shall not apply in relation to the Union territory of Chandigarh but shall apply to the State of Haryana and the transferred territory with the modification that for the words "each House of the State Legislature" the words "the Legislative Assembly" and for the words "both Houses agree" at both the places where they occur, the words "Legislative Assembly agrees" shall be substituted.
