Chapter I Chapter I
Statutory text
- (1) The Comptroller shall be a whole-time officer of the University and shall be appointed by the Board.
- (2) The Comptroller shall manage the property and investments of the University and advise in regard to its financial policy and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the preparation of the budget and statement of accounts for presentation by the Vice-Chancellor.
- (3) The Comptroller shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for ensuring that no expenditure not authorised in the budget is incurred by the University otherwise than by way of investments and shall disallow any expenditure which may contravene the terms of any Statute or for which provision is required to be made by the Statute but has not been made.
