Statutory text
All owners of land, tenants, under-tenants and cultivators who are in actual occupation of land or house property on or in which there shall be a tapping for tari or manufacture or sale of liquor or intoxicating drugs shall in absence of reasonable excuse be bound to give notice of the same as soon as may be to a Magistrate, Prohibition Officer, local authority having jurisdiction, the Officer-in-charge of the nearest police-station or to an employee of the local authority: Provided that, in the case of waste lands and forest lands, the persons who are liable to give notice shall be those who actually manage such waste lands or forest lands.
