This Act makes a set of amendments to Maharashtra's tax laws. Among other things, it changes the stamp duty payable under the Bombay Stamp Act, 1958 on agreements for advertisements on mass media made to promote products, programmes or events for profit, with rates set per ₹1,000 of the amount agreed.
