Declaration of water scarcity area.
- (1) If the State Government is satisfied that in any area the supply of water for drinking purposes has become, or is likely to become, scarce in any water source, it may, by notification, declare such area as water scarcity area for such period as may be specified in the notification.
- (2) The State Government may, by notification, extend the period specified in sub-section (1) from time to time.
