The Madhya Pradesh Prevention of Damage to Public and Private Property and Recovery of Damage Act, 2021

This Act provides legal mechanisms to prevent damage to public and private property in Madhya Pradesh and establishes a system for recovering the cost of such damages. It applies to the entire state and comes into force on the date it is published in the Madhya Pradesh Official Gazette. By defining what constitutes "damage-causing acts" and establishing a "Claim Authority" to handle compensation claims, the law protects citizens' property interests during riots, strikes, or public disturbances.
