This Act provides for town and country planning in Madhya Pradesh. A Director of Town and Country Planning prepares regional plans and development plans for planning areas, after surveys and public consultation. Once a plan is in force, land use and development must follow it. The Act also provides for Town and Country Development Authorities to carry out development schemes.
