Prohibition of future tenancies

(1) After the commencement of this Act, no tenancy shall be created in respect of any land: Provided that any landowner who is— (i) a minor; (ii) a widow; (iii) an unmarried woman; (iv) a divorced woman; (v) a person incapable of cultivating land by reason of any physical or mental disability; or (vi) a serving member of the Armed Forces or a seaman, may create a tenancy, but the tenant shall not be entitled to any right conferred on a tenant under this Chapter. (2) Any tenancy created in contravention of the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be invalid.
