Tenants from whom land is resumed to be paid compensation for improvements, and solatium

(1) A tenant from whom land is resumed under the provisions of this Act shall be entitled to-(i) compensation for the improvements belonging to him; and (ii) a solatium of an amount equal to one year's rent. (2) The compensation payable under clause (i) of sub-section (1) shall be determined in accordance with the provisions of the Kerala Compensation for Tenants Improvements Act, 1958.
