Appointment of Electric Inspectors

Appointment of Electric Inspectors.--(1) The Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint duly qualified persons to be Electric Inspectors and every Electric Inspector so appointed shall exercise the powers and perform the functions of an Electric Inspector under this Act within such areas and subject to such restrictions as the Government may direct.

1. (2) In the absence of express provision to the contrary in this Act or any rule thereunder, an appeal shall lie from the decision of an Electric Inspector to the Government.
