This Act regulates the supply and use of electricity in Jammu and Kashmir. It provides for granting, varying and revoking licences to supply electricity, and for the Government to buy a licensee's undertaking or act as a licensee itself. It also covers licensees' accounts, the laying of lines and works, and safety.
