Constitution of the Court of Wards and its jurisdiction.-
- (1) The Revenue Minister shall be the Court of Wards for the Jammu and Kashmir State.
- (2) The Court of Wards may exercise all or any of the powers conferred on it by this Act, either direct or through the Deputy Commissioner of the district within the limits of which any ward may at any time reside or any part of the property of any ward may be situate, or through any other person whom it may, at any time, in respect of any ward, or the whole or any part of the property of any ward, appoint in that behalf.
- (3) The Court of Wards may, with the sanction of the Government from time to time, by general or special order, or by rule made under this Act, delegate any of its powers to any Deputy Commissioner or other person as aforesaid, and may, at any time, with the like sanction, revoke any such delegation.
- (4) The powers and authority by this Act vested in the Court of Wards shall be exercised by it, subject to the control of the Government.
