Power to punish for contempt

Power to punish for contempt.—(1) The Accountability Commission shall have and exercise the same jurisdiction, powers and authority in respect of contempt of itself as a High Court has, and, for this purpose, the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Contempt of Courts Act, 1997, shall have effect subject to the modification that the references therein to High Court shall be construed as including a reference to the Accountability Commission.

1. (2) The Accountability Commission shall be deemed to be a Court within the meaning of Jammu and Kashmir Contempt of Courts Act, 1997.
