Preliminary scrutiny of complaints by Accountability Commission

(1) If the Accountability Commission is satisfied, after considering a complaint and after making such verification as it deems appropriate that the complaint is manifestly false and vexatious, the Accountability Commission shall dismiss the complaint after recording its reasons therefor and communicate the same to the complainant and to the competent authority.
(2) The procedure for verification in respect of a complaint under sub-section
(1) shall be such as the Accountability Commission deems appropriate in the circumstances of the case and in particular, the Accountability Commission may, if it deems it necessary so to do, call for the comments of the public functionary concerned.
