Statutory text
The State Government shall, within three months of the commencement of this Act, establish at the State Level, a Police Complaint Authority, which shall be either a retired Judge or a retired civil servant, not below the rank of Secretary to the State or a lawyer well versed with criminal law and with an experience of at least twenty years in the relevant field, for inquiries and investigations into the complaints against the police officers and officials of the State.
