Police districts

The State Government, in consultation with the Director General of Police, may by notification in the Official Gazette, declare any area within the State to be a police district. The administration of the police throughout such district shall vest in the Superintendent of Police of a district who may be assisted by as many Additional, Assistant or Deputy Superintendents of Police, as deemed necessary and are notified.
