Removal of Independent Members.

(1) An Independent Member may be removed from the State Police Board by the State Government on any of the following grounds- (a) proven incompetence; or (b) proven misbehavior; or (c) incapacitation by reasons of physical or mental infirmity or otherwise becoming unable to discharge his functions as a member. (2) In addition to the grounds mentioned in sub-section (1), an Independent Member shall be removed from the State Police Board if he incurs any of the grounds of ineligibility specified under section 27.
