Power to amend Schedule

1. (1) The Central Government may, by notification, amend or alter any of the Schedules to this Act, including to add to, or omit therefrom, any items.
2. (2) The Central Government shall, before the issuance of any notification under sub-section (1), lay the draft notification in draft form before each House of Parliament while it is in session, for a total period of thirty days which may be comprised in one session or in two or more successive sessions.
3. (3) The Central Government shall, before the issuance of any notification under sub-section (1), also refer the proposal to amend or alter the Schedules to the Expert Group as constituted under section 41 of this Act for its appraisal and recommendation.
