First Appointment of Officers and Authorities

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act and the Statutes,—

1. (a) the first Chancellor, the first Vice-Chancellor, the first Registrar, the first Chief Finance Officer and the first Controller of Examinations shall be appointed by the Society for a term of five years;
2. (b) the first Dean to be appointed to the Governing Body shall be appointed by the Chancellor with the approval of the Society for a term of three years;
3. (c) the first Governing Body, the first Executive Council, the first Academic Council and the first Finance Committee shall be constituted by the Chancellor with the approval of the Society for a term of three years.
