Discipline

(1) The University shall maintain discipline among students through its Proctorial Board and a senior teacher of the rank of the Professor shall be appointed as Chief Proctor by the Vice-Chancellor and will hold office upto a period of three years. (2) The Proctorial Board shall deal with all matters connected with the discipline of students and Vice-Chancellor shall be the final authority over all such matters, including expulsion from the University Provided that no such punishment shall be imposed without giving the students an opportunity to explain the action proposed to be taken.
