Bare Act
The Bihar Sports (Registration, Recognition and Regulation of Associations) Act, 2013
This Act establishes a comprehensive framework for registering, recognizing, and regulating sports associations throughout Bihar. It applies to all sports organizations operating in the state, including state-level, district-level, and primary sports bodies. The legislation mandates that these organizations must be officially affiliated through the Bihar State Sports Council or relevant governing bodies. It defines clear governance structures with Executive Bodies, General Bodies, and specific officers like Presidents and Secretaries. The Act also enables government oversight through committees and regulatory processes for elections, special resolutions, and tournament management. By formalizing these processes, the government ensures transparent management of sports activities and proper representation of Bihar in state, national, and international sporting events.
