Any aggregator, platform, primary employer, or company—who fails to pay the prescribed Welfare Fund Fee under this Act or its associated rules/regulations, shall be punishable with imprisonment up to one year, or with a fine up to Rs. 2 lakhs, or both and if the contravention is continued after the conviction, then, the duration of punishment shall be extended by 6 months or an additional fine up to Rs. 1 lakh shall be imposed or both. 2. Failure or refusal to submit any return, report, or statement required under this Act shall be punishable with a fine which may extend up to 3 months of imprisonment or with a fine of Rs. 50,000.
