Vice-Chancellor and other officers etc. to be public servants

The Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar, the Comptroller, the Deans, the Director of Research, the Director of Extension Education, the Director of Post Graduate Studies, the Director of Farms, the Director of Physical Plant, the Librarian and the employees of the University shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions of the Act, to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code or sub-section (28) of section 2 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023.
