Objects of the University

The University shall have the following objects, namely:- (a) to impart education in different branches of Veterinary, animal, dairy, fishery and allied sciences as the University may determine. (b) to further the advancement of learning and pursuance of research in veterinary, animal, fisheries and allied sciences. (c) to undertake the extension of such sciences to the rural farming people in co-operation with the concerned Government Departments, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and such other body or bodies as the University may determine from time to time. (d) to collaborate with national and international institutions for advancement of technology and education in veterinary, animal and fishery sciences, research and extension including teachers and students exchange programmes, dual degree programmes etc. (e) to open Diploma and Certificate courses in the identified fields as and when needed.
