Director Extension Education Council

The University shall institute programmes such as extension education services for animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries subject as per the provisions of the Act and the Statutes, and make available useful information based upon the findings of research to the farmers and other people engaged in farming of animals and fishery in rural areas to help solving their problems. It shall conduct demonstration and training programmers for the benefit of the students, extension workers, farmers, livestock and fish breeders and other rural people to increase milk production, fish production and improve genetic make up of the local, pure bred and crossbred animals and fishes. These activities shall be carried out by establishing extension education units, such as Krishi Vigyan Kendras, by whatever name called, within the jurisdiction of the University and in collaboration with other agencies.
